Recent Events:
On Sunday, March 16, 2008, I celebrated the publication of my chapbook Magic Word with a reading at Elliott Bay Book Company.
On Thursday, December 13th, I taught a poetry workshop at the Olympia Timberland Library. This workshop consisted of in-class exercises and was aimed at adults—practiced poets as well as those new to poetry.
I participated in the Floating Bridge Press reading on Tuesday, June 26th, 2007 at Hugo House. My manuscript Magic Word was a finalist in the 2007 chapbook competition. I read with chapbook winner Holly J. Hughes.
On Saturday, April 21st, 2007, I participated in a day exploring the theme of “The Big Bang: The Cosmology of Poetry, Spirituality, and Science” at the 2007 Seattle Poetry Festival.
On Sunday, January 14th, 2007, I read at the C & P Coffee Company in West Seattle with poet Nicole Hardy, who has published a fabulous book of sonnets, Mud Flap Girl’s XX Guide to Facial Profiling.

Some of my poems were featured on KUOW Public Radio’s “The Beat” on December 12, 2005; you can go to the archives to listen to the poems (the segment starts 23 minutes into the audio file), as well as commentary by KUOW literary programming producer Elizabeth Austen.
I read these poems in Fall 2005 as a featured reader in the “Reel to Real” reading series at On the House in Seattle.
